| Since its establishment WNC has devoted itself to social welfare and placed great value on corporate social responsibility. The four major social care aspects that WNC gives financial and manpower support to include: youth professional development, care of disadvantaged school children, assistance of charitable organizations and collection of disaster relief funds. Starting from April, 2009, WNC began its social care business under the name "WNC Social Care Assistance". Our internal website's "Social Care Assistance Platform" was then set up for the purpose of providing a convenient channel for WNC employees to obtain social care information and to access an on-line donation service. |

| Youth Professional Care |
| |
| To the tune of NTD 200,000 per semester, WNC provides long term subsidization of the After-School Volunteer Club of National Tsing Hua University, encouraging its members to apply their knowledge to serve and care for people. Through the process of composing their proposals based on the actual needs of students, they learn from real experience on how to plan an after-school program, to properly allocate resources, to perform benefit assessments and to evaluate performance. In September, 2010, the Science Service Club of National Tsing Hua University was added to WNC's subsidization program. By utilizing an amount of NTD 400,000, the club provides school students that live in outlying areas of Hsinchu County with course guidance and take science education promotion as one of their primary missions, providing those children with more diverse learning options. |

| Care of Disadvantaged School Schoolchildren |
| |
| This after-school program targets disadvantaged schoolchildren living in outlying areas of Hsinchu County and cases requiring assistance as defined by the Department of Social Welfare. The program provides children with company, homework guidance, course review, problem solving for daily living and personal guidance. One tutor usually takes care of the same children to effectively improve the self-esteem and study performances of those children. In 2010, WNC started a "Volunteer Buddy System", to encourage employees participating in the tutor programs and provide their service to the children directly. |

| Assisting Disadvantaged Minorities |
| |
| WNC cooperates with many charitable organizations in various supportive ways. For example, by inviting them to WNC and purchasing traditional festival gifts from these charitable organizations. In 2011, in addition to inviting more non-profit organizations to hold charity sales, WNC has allocated additional funds to purchase charitable products as gifts for business use. |
|
| |
| Disaster Relief Funds, Goods and Supplies |
| |
WNC participates proactively in charity fund raising activities. We often initiate internal donation projects spontaneously based on disaster relief needs and activities. |
|
| • |
Colleagues are encouraged to take part in contributing to charities by various government and non-government donation methods collected by the company. |
| • |
WNC also provides relief subsidies for disaster affected employees and calls for donations and assistance from colleagues. For instance, a donation activity was held by WNC to provide reconstruction assistance for WNC employees and the T.F.C.F that were affected by typhoon Morakot. Comfort, care, financial assistance, legal consulting and/or funeral assistance were also provided for the injured or those colleagues who have passed away. |
|
|
| |
| As our statistics during 2009 and 2010 showed, there were 2392 WNC employees who donated to those activities. Besides the donations that were made by the company, WNC employees themselves also raised a total of 3,125,500 NTD in donations, which served as relief funds for two of our employees that passed away due to accidental diseases and as the subsidies for After-School Volunteer Club of National Tsing Hua University, HsinChu branch of the T.F.C.F, and Liouguei Orphanage. |

| Social Care Assistance Platform |
| |
This “Social Care Assistance Platform” was set up for the purpose of providing a convenient channel for WNC employees to obtain social care information and to obtain their donation/service on-line. The platform provides web pages with the following functions: |
|
| • |
Employee emergency relief: Provides substantial assistance and various consulting services for colleagues that are under emergency conditions |
| • |
Volunteers and donations: Provides information of relief goods, funds and volunteers. |
| • |
Adoption of charitable organizations: WNC provides long-term subsidies to the After-School Volunteer Club of National Tsing Hua University. We expect this cooperative model, in which companies and the students provide their financial and manpower support, will educate the younger generation and provide sustainable support for the public welfare of Taiwan. A future plan is being undertaken to provide medical and goods supply for the Aboriginal Culture Club of National Tsing Hua University and continue extend this model to other public welfare organizations for converting resources into actual strengths. |
| • |
Other donations: Records non-routine donations/assistances that WNC provides. |
| • |
Donor list: The names of WNC employees that participated in public welfare activities. |
